Sports related tips:
1. Plyometrics is a form of power training in which specific exercises are performed with the goal of improving the ability to jump.
2. Power is the product of force and velocity. It should be trained along a spectrum of high force to high speed production, depending on the demands of the sport.
3. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) maintains stability between the upper and lower leg. Functional training of the ACL targets 3 dimensional stability of the knee through hip and ankle strengthening and mobility.
