If you notice more bugs in and around your home you aren't alone, especially when it comes to spiders.

The lack of a hard freeze last year let more bugs survive here in Yakima. Black widows are a danger here. Local pest control operators say their calls have gone up by about 20 percent. They say there is an easy way to keep
the spiders outside.  "Go around your house at any given time and if you see light escape anywhere then try to eliminate that light,” said exterminator Bob York.

You can also remove piles of wood or anything else that attracts bugs for spiders to eat.
