A Yakima County Superior Court Judge decided Monday that a 16-year-old rape suspect will be tried as an adult. Judge Ruth Reukauf announced her decision Monday afternoon in the case of 16-year-old Joshua Pulliam. Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says "We're alledging he committed several sexual assaults on the Yakima Greenway of three different women over the course of a number of months dating back to last November." The judge ruled that move to adult court is appropriate because of the seriousness of the allegations.
Pulliam is charged with first degree rape, second degree rape and attempted rape. Pulliam is being held in the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center. He's expected to make an appearance in Yakima County Superior Court Tuesday afternoon.
