The legal experts at Wilshire Law Firm took into consideration a variety of statistics and found that Washington State drivers in that Gen Z range are actually some of the safetest drivers in the United States.

Top 10 States for Gen Z Drivers

Here are the top 10 states for Gen Z drivers in America.

1. New York
2. Massachusetts
3. New Hampshire
4. New Jersey
5. Rhode Island
6. Minnesota
7. Maryland
8. Ohio
9. Washington
10. Pennsylvania

The criteria that went into this list was looking at the total accidents involving Gen Z drivers, fatalities involving Gen Z drivers, accidents involving overspeeding of Gen Z drivers, accidents involving alcohol drinking of Gen Z drivers, fatalities involving alcohol drinking of Gen Z drivers, and Gen Z recklessness.

All of these were based on Gen Z drivers per 100k people.

For Washington State, there were 10.68 accidents and 11 fatalities involving Gen Z drivers per 100k people.

Washington also earned a Gen Z recklessness score of 25.46 which is the 9th lowest in the United States.

There was 3.7 accidents and 4.27 fatalities per 100k people due to Gen Z drivers driving over the speed limit.

Much less when it involves alcohol-impared Gen Z drivers being 1.94 accidents and 2.17 fatalities per 100k people which is well below the national average.

All in all, and all things considered, Washington State is definitely a leader in the Northwest when it comes to Gen Z drivers coming in 9th vs. Idaho who was ranked as 23rd most reckless.
