Weather experts are expecting a drought this year in the Yakima Valley. Although the word drought is never a good thing in our agricultural community, there are several ways we can utilize drought conditions in our area.

Why is Yakima Going Through Another Drought

It's looking like another year where Yakima will go through a drought. This is due to lack of average snowfall in the area as well as warmer weather than usual.

However, just because Yakima is classified with drought conditions doesn't mean it's the end of the world.

Since we have that dry heat, when the sun sets, it cools off to a very comfortable temperature. Perfect to do things at night like some light yardwork, go for a nightly walk, or even just chill outside.
