I can’t think of a better way to spend a lunch break, or a free afternoon than a nice walk at the park with a new friend. It has so many benefits, especially if your friend has more than 2 legs! And the crew at the Yakima Humane Society has those friends just for you!

Max Is Ready For His Walk Around The Park!

My friend Kim Freeze posted a very sweet photo and a funny video of her afternoon, lunch break activity. It made me smile so much, I had to share it with all of you.

“My new favorite hobby is walking a dog @ The Humane Society, on my lunch break!!! I LOVE it!”
– Kim Freeze.

There are many dogs just like Max who would love to get out of their kennel and get out in the fresh air, sunshine, and green grass in Yakima! And it does you a lot of good to get out of your cage (car, office, house, screen) and get yourself some fresh air and a little exercise.

"It freaking puts me in a great mood, I go back to work rejuvenated and happy!!! It’s a win win for everyone!"
- Kim

Reach out to the Yakima Humane Society to see about swinging by and taking a pup to the park, an overnight sleepover, or even just scheduling a time to come in and read a book to a dog (it helps comfort the pets that are scared).
