UPDATE: SUSPECT OF YAKIMA VALLEY MALL SHOOTING IN CUSTODY
This past Monday night, shots were fired at the Valley Mall in Union Gap, Washington on around 6:15pm and news spread onto the Facebook page Yakima Scan. We now have an update on the suspect who fled from the scene.
UPDATE 12/20: The manhunt for the suspect in the Yakima Valley Mall Shooter has come to an end, with the suspect being arrested in the lower valley and is currently in custody. This latest update comes from the Union Gap Police Department's Facebook page. The suspects name and motive have yet to be officially released.
The suspect was found at 9:30am today (12/20) near E Yakima Valley Hwy & E Lincoln Ave in Sunnyside, Washington. The suspect was apprehended without incident and is charged with 1st degree assault, 1st degree burglary, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
The 37-year-old victim has undergone surgery for the injuries to his wrists from the incident and was released from the hospital.

UPDATE 12/19: Victim is a 37 year-old loss prevention officer and was shot in the wrist. He was taken to hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.
According to the press release, the suspect is still at large.
"The suspect was described as age 25-30 year old Caucasian or Hispanic man with slicked back hair and possible pony tail. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, black pants and a had a tear drop tattoo under his eye."

UPDATE 12/18: At 8pm Monday Night, the Union Gap Police Department Posted on their Facebook page.
“NOT AN ACTIVE SHOOTER INCIDENT AT THE VALLEY MALL.”
The incident happened at the north end of the mall and there was only one victim who was transported to the hospital. They also have security footage of the suspect who fled. The Union Gap Police Department also warns that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Around 6:30pm on Monday night, multiple calls to emergency services reporting shots being fired inside the Yakima Valley Mall at 2529 Main Street. One victim of the gun shot was at Macy’s and the suspect escaped the mall heading eastbound according to Yakima Scan.
Many of the stores inside the mall and surrounding area are on lock down. The victim or suspect identities have not been released as of the time of this writing. Motive is also currently unknown.
Union Gap Police Department as well as the Yakima Police Department are on the scene with fire and medics giving aid to the victim.
