With the prices of EVERYTHING going through the roof and the kids about to head back to school very soon, it can be a lot to stress out a parent. Thankfully, there are several groups in Yakima that are helping get the kiddos ready, and one of them is planning something big, really soon!

Think Twice Yakima will host a Back To School Event on Sunday, August 20th. This isn’t just a place to go to score school supplies; it’s a place to have fun and kick back with a movie and a way to help wrap up your break from school with a cowabunga!

The first 500 students (Middle & High school) will be able to score free school supplies, such as water bottles, earbuds, backpacks, pens, key chains, etc. (while supplies last) and have the chance to win a gift card! How can you win a gift card? Well, 170 of them will be placed inside backpacks!

If that isn’t a cool enough event, Yakima Cinema (1305 N 16th Ave. in Yakima) will show Meg 2: The Trench and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem for the students to watch! The giveaway starts at 8 am, doors for the movies open at 8:45 am, and the film begins at 9:30 am. One more opportunity to make a great memory this summer!

How much does the Back To School Event Cost?

This event is FREE! The giveaways, the movies, the popcorn… it’s free!
