It’s Party Time In Downtown Yakima

The Committee For Downtown Yakima (CDY) is proud to celebrate the start of summer with the Downtown Yakima Summer Kickoff Party on Saturday, June 18th, from 2-11pm in Millennium Plaza in front of the historic Capitol Theatre. The Summer Kick Off Party will feature live music, food vendors, merchandise vendors, beer garden, and kids’ activities such as a castle and a monster truck jumpers, clowns, face painting, and chalk art. This event is free, family friendly and open to the public. The Yakima Bears will be on hand with their T-Ball Cage, the Yakima Fire Department is bringing down a fire truck and will teach about fire safety, the Yakima Police Department will explain child safety, and the Army will bring their football toss, basketball toss and Hummer with Xbox games.
