City crews are busy at the intersection of Englewood Avenue and 66th Avenue Wednesday. The intersection will be closed for most of two days this week while the first phase of a paving project is completed.
The Englewood and 66th intersection will closed at 6:00 am Wednesday, May 17th and remain closed until 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 18th. Detour routes around the project area will be available and will be marked with appropriate signage. Flaggers will also be on site to help drivers navigate away from the work area.
The paving of the Englewood and 66th intersection will be completed in two phases. The first phase will involve the laying of the first layers of asphalt. The second phase, which will be completed on Monday, May 20th, will involve adding layers of asphalt, which will bring the pavement level in the intersection even with that of intersecting roads.
