There’s an uptick in the number of Yakima county homes being sold. Local home sales during the third quarter are up 6-percent when compared to the same time last year. At the same time, bargain hunters help drive down sales prices. They are off 4.7-percent to leave a median sales price of $146,000. The figures are from the Washington State Center for Real Estate Research at WSU. The organization reports price declines were coupled with a lower mortgage interest rate making homes quite affordable for households with good credit and reliable jobs.
