Sunday was national Ice Cream day and plenty of people were out enjoying the day at city parks and farmers markets. If you took a drive into the mountains up Chinook Pass over the weekend maybe you made a stop at Sprick Park where you would have found the annual Nile Valley Days. The weekend was lots of fun for the entire family.

Nile Valley Days is held at Jim Sprick Community Park during the third full weekend in July of each year. Families had plenty to enjoy. Vendors, displays, kid’s games, live entertainment, black-powder demonstrations, horseshoe tournaments, and gold prospecting demonstrations. It was a hot weekend setting up the Yakima valley for a hot week. Check the forecast and find some shade this week.
