For years I've tried to figure out the best way to cut a watermelon. Most of time I just cut it in half and start carving out what I can.

But then I remembered how my mom carved a watermelon and I had to pass it on. Maybe it's worth a try today -- Aug. 3 is National Watermelon Day.
