Yakima's Memorial Hospital is teaming up with several local school districts to supply them with athletic trainers.

The program offers trainers to schools like La Salle, Riverside Christian, and the East Valley School District. The idea is to ensure that every school, no matter what size has an athletic trainer to deal with injuries.

One of the major concerns is having someone nearby to deal with concussions. Trainers especially want to educate football players and coaches on the proper ways to hit, so they can avoid a nasty concussion during football season.
