Firefighters have contained the Harlan Landing fire that started near Selah Sunday afternoon. Selah Fire Department acting Lt. Rob Messer with station 26 says the fire burned about 660 acres. The actual cause of the fire reported at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday remains under investigation but he says it started in a homeless encampment near Golf Course Loop. "It did drive out a bunch of the homeless out of the encampment and did take their camp away." Messer says the fire remains under investigation.
