Calling all Out-of-Towners! This weekend, Yakima's Habitat for Humanity will be hosting the first annual "Work and Wine Weekend". This event gives volunteers from out-of-town the opportunity to check out what the Yakima Valley has to offer while volunteering in community.

October 7th through October 9th volunteers will experience Downtown Yakima's First Friday, work on a Habitat for Humanity's jobsite, experience a complimentary footbath at Ummelina, participate in a winetasting tour and enjoy a delicious salmon BBQ. This event is $300 per person and $500 per couple and includes a two-night stay at the Marriot's Fairfield Inn, a $150 tax deductible donation, a t-shirt, a wine glass, a Wine Trail Passport, gift certicates for various locations in downtown Yakima, appetizers, and a box lunch on the jobsite. If you have friends and family from out of town that might be interested or are interested in this event or other events yourself, visit www.yakimahabitat.org or call (509) 453-8077 for more information.
