Yakima Valley Community College (YVCC) and the city of Grandview are pleased to announce that the Grandview Library has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold certification. Established by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute, LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. This marks the first LEED certified project in Yakima County.

YVCC and city of Grandview will host a plaque dedication ceremony on May 7,  at 1:00 p.m. The plaque will be placed in the Grandview Library on the YVCC Grandview Campus located at 500 West Main Street.
