Got Ideas About Yakima’s Future?

What kind of city would you like to see in the future? It's a question Yakima city officials are asking you as they look to update Yakima's Comprehensive Plan 2040. Senior City Planner Valerie Smith says it's the document used for land use and future growth decisions and the city is holding a community meeting Tuesday to get your input for the plan. "What should go where, what should be built in what places, improvements we can make to neighborhoods or just improving the street scape."  She says they'll also be talking about economic development in the downtown area. The Community Visioning open house is set for 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the YV Tech Skills Center at 1120 South 18th Street.
A short presentation is set for 6:30 P.M. then you're encouraged to walk around and talk to officials about the future of Yakima.
