The first major gang related shooting of the Spring was reported in Yakima Monday afternoon. A 24 year old man was shot in the chest and is recovering at a Yakima hospital today. Police were called to a fight at a home at West Nob Hill and South 6th Avenue just after 3 yesterday afternoon. The nearby hoover elementary was locked down during the incident. When police arrived they arrested 5 people suspected in the shooting and impounded one vehicle. The victim, who hasn't been identified is expected to survive the gunshot wound to the chest. The police continues their investigation today.
