The barns at the Central Washington State Fair are full of animals. And while they're all there for your viewing pleasure many of the animals are prized possessions of students involved in FFA or Future Farmers of America. Fair Spokesman Rob Phillips says many of the cows, pigs and sheep are involved in judging competitions during the fair. He says every morning before the day starts many of the students are at the fairgrounds washing and brushing animals preparing for competition. He says the fairgrounds is a busy place before the gates open to the public.
Today is Pizza Hut day at the Central Washington State Fair where $23 and a receipt from any area Pizza Hut of $10 or more gets a person into the fair and an unlimited Butler Amusement ride wristband. Today is also seniors (65+) and military (both active and veterans) appreciation day. Country music star Joe Nichols plays at the Budweiser stage at 7:00 p.m.
