Funding Considered In Death Penalty Cases

A death penalty case could bankrupt Yakima County. That from County Court Consultant Harold Delia. Prosecutor Jim Hagerty says he'll consider the death penalty in the case of 28 year old Kevin Harper arrested in last month's triple homicide. Delia says if Hagerty goes forward with the death penalty county taxpayers will have to pay for 2 specialized attorneys who'll have no limit on how much they can spend on the defense. Delia says unfortunately funding must be considered in death penatly cases.
