Yakima will celebrate a historic milestone during the 4th of July holiday weekend with the America’s 250th Yakima Parade on Yakima Avenue. The parade is set for Friday, July 3 and it will start at 6th Avenue and travel east along Yakima Avenue to Naches Avenue.

IT'S ALL PART OF THE 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND IN THE YAKIMA VALLEY

The event marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and is part of a series of local festivities honoring the nation's founding.
Local businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups, and individuals are invited to be a part of the parade at no cost. Those interested can register to join the parade by visiting www.Yakimaparades.com.

The parade will be held on First Friday in downtown Yakima, where many restaurants, breweries, and tasting rooms will offer specials for those arriving early to enjoy the parade.

YOU CAN HELP MAKE THE PARADE POSSIBLE

The parade committee is working to raise $15,000 to cover additional security costs from the Yakima Police Department and Public Works. Supporters, including local businesses and residents, are encouraged to contribute through donations or sponsorships via the Yakima Valley Community Foundation.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue and to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of American independence and community spirit in the city of Yakima. the parade is a day before the big 4th of July celebration at Yakima's State Fair Park.
