Former Sheriff Brian Winter Dies Saturday

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office says former Sheriff Brian Winter died Saturday. He was 60 years old. Winter was elected in 2014, but decided not to run for a second term after being diagnosed with ALS.
The former Marine who served in Operation Desert Storm first joined the Sheriff's Office in 1991.
