Fire Damages Lower Valley Home

YAKIMA COUNTY FIRE NEWS RELEASE -- County Fire District 5 was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 1000 Block of Wendel Phillips Road early this morning, on the arrival of the first in units they reported fire coming out of a rear window and heavy smoke from the eves. Fire Spread rapidly through the rest of the house. Fire was believed to have started in a back bedroom. The renter of the home was not home at the time of the fire. Cause of the fire is not known at this time. Investigation was turned over to Yakima County Fire Marshall’s Office.
