Extra Added Commute Time On Mead Avenue Starts Thursday

Mead Avenue will be closed at the railroad tracks starting Thursday at 6:00 am and will reopen Thursday night around 8:00 pm bnsf railroad will remove and replace old tracks with new digging down approximately 2 feet. There will be no thru traffic and motorist will need to use 1st street to access the east side of the tracks or 3rd avenue for the west side of the tracks. Detours will be in place to help motorist using 3rd avenue, Nob hill, Washington and 1st street. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to be aware of heavy equipment please use alternate routes when you can.
