Meet Enchanting Eva: JUNE 2024 CMN Miracle Family of the Month

The annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon is coming up in a few short months!

It's our time where we call on you, our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, to let your heartstrings be pulled so that we can help families here in Central Washington get further access to urgent and life-saving medical treatment for their kids!

Over the past few months, we've shared with you heartwarming stories of youngsters who have overcome extreme odds to live a bountiful life--with your support and generous donations!

We'd be remiss to leave out the talented and caring medical and administrative staff and volunteers who have been able to provide these needed therapies, treatments, and family resource support to tens of thousands of local families.

Memorial Foundation

Eva's family shared her story of strength with us a couple of years ago when she was 15 years old.

When Eva was 3-and-a-half years old, her parents noticed she was experiencing cognitive delays and behavioral issues. Then she started having seizures.

Eva spent her childhood with epilepsy. When she was 11 years old, she began behavioral therapy at Children's Village.

She was soon diagnosed with autism and Lennox Gestaut Syndrome at age 12, which helped her family understand why she had those epileptic seizures since her tender toddler years.

It was because of the services she received at Children's Village that provided Eva's family some answers for her health condition.

Children's Village is supported by the Memorial Foundation, which sponsors the Radiothon.

WHY YOU SHOULD CARE ABOUT HELPING TO SUPPORT CHILDREN'S VILLAGE

Volunteers at Children's Village help provide meaningful emotional, financial, and medical support to parents and families of our children with challenging medical needs. The Parent to Parent program is one of those services, as well as the Sibshops for siblings of children who get Children's Village services.

Every dollar of your donation at the upcoming Radiothon will stay right here in the Yakima Valley and help so many children and their families receive the special kind of help they need.

Families won't have to always drive over to Seattle or Tri-Cities to get specialized treatments and therapies because they will be available right here at Children's Village and MultiCare Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital!
