A former Othello elementary school teacher has plead guilty to molesting one of her 10-year-old students.

Prosecutors say Lisa Davis entered the plea in response to a charge of first degree child molestation.

Davis initially plead not guilty when arrested in July but changed the plea in an agreement with the prosecutor in Adams County. In the agreement the state agrees to a 51-month sentence in exchange for pleading guilty.

If Davis qualifies for a Washington state sex offender sentencing alternative, a three-year treatment program, her sentence could potentially be knocked down to 12 months. That reduced sentence is not guaranteed.

The deal with only go forward after it is approved by a judge during her sentencing set for October 5.

In a lengthy police report Davis admitted to sexually touching her 10-year-old student on at least three occasions.
