A double homicide is under investigation in the lower Yakima Valley. Yakima County Sheriff's detectives and Yakama Nation Police were called to the 11000 block of Branch Road in Brownstown at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday where they found two women dead of stab wounds. A 33-year-old man who lived near the victims was taken into custody after police found him to have injuries to his hands. Sheriff's Detectives say in a news release it appears the suspect used an edged weapon to commit the crimes. Autopsies for the victims are scheduled for Friday. No identities have been released. The suspect is being held in the Yakima County Jail.
