Crime Up In The City Of Yakima In 2010

Yakima City crime numbers are in from last year and there's a mixed bag of results says Lt. Mike Merryman from the Yakima Police Department. Auto theft was down 14 percent, rape down 35 percent, assaults down 15 percent. But criminal homicide was up from 10 in 2009 to 14 murders last year. Aggravated domestic assaults were also up 30 percent. Overall crime rose 5 percent last year in the City of Yakima.
