Yakima Co Sheriff’s Office has been working with Yakima County Technology Services and an outside vendor, Official Payments, to give citizens in unincorporated Yakima County the convenient option of purchasing and renewing their dog licenses by credit card or electronic check. It is our goal to make the dog licensing process quicker and easier for the dog owners in our County. Those who live within the boundaries of an incorporated city which sells their own dog licenses will need to contact their local animal enforcement authority to purchase their local dog licenses. Yakima County dog licenses are for those living in the unincorporated areas of Yakima County who do not fall under the jurisdiction of municipal laws regarding dog ownership. Applying is easy. The link can be accessed on our website at www.yakimacounty.us/sheriff <http://www.yakimacounty.us/sheriff> under the Dog License/Information tab on the left side of the page, by selecting “Online Dog Registration”. This will open the application. Once the required information is complete and you choose to submit the information, you will be asked to verify the accuracy of the information you submitted. After verification you will continue to the payment web site, where all of the pertinent information you entered will be transferred for your ease. You will then complete the payment method information for submission. After payment, your initial application information will be forwarded to one of our Yakima Co Sheriff’s Office Clerks for processing and a dog license will be mailed to you.
