Community Meeting About Left Hand Fire Tuesday in Naches

Fire managers at the Left Hand Fire burning near Cliffdell are holding an informational meeting at the Nile Community Church at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. The Nile Community Church is located at 60 Bedrock Lane in Naches.Officials will answer questions and concerns about the fire that has grown to 2,531 acres.

Department of Natural Resources officials say the cost of fighting the fire is now approaching $4 million. Firefighters continue to try and protect homes and property from the blaze that started after a lightning strike last week.  A Level Three evacuation notice is in place for 22 residences in the Rock Creek drainage. Level Two notices remain in effect for the 250 residences along both sides of Sr 410 from the Fire District 14 station #11 to the junction with Gold Creek Rd.
