City Crews Fixing Sidewalks Lifting in Spring Heat

They're literally popping up all around the city. Yakima city officials in the streets division say every year at this time sidewalks in some areas of the city begin to buckle or lift. They're not sure what's causing the problem, but it's likely the heat. Street crews are now finding the problem sidewalks around the city and preparing to fix them by either cutting or removing the slabs to make sure they fit correctly.
