Yakima City Council member Sara Bristol says she will ask the council to vote on a super majority tax limiter proposal that the council voted down last month. Bristol says she believes it is what people want. If the council supports the issue it may appear on an April ballot for voters to ultimately decide.

On another matter, Bristol says the council will consider two options instead of increasing the cost of car tabs to pay for city street repairs. Bristol says the city will pay off the city Law and Justice Center this year freeing up $515,000 per year in payments and money could be used from an increase in city sales tax revenue.

Both funding sources instead of increasing car tabs. Bristol also wants a charter amendment to guarantee the money would be dedicated to city roads every year.

The council meets at 6:00 p.m. at Yakima City Hall.
