It's almost time for our annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon -- a 12-hour broadcast on News Talk KIT, 1280 AM, that includes DJs from all of Townsquare Media's local radio stations and a number of families who want to give back after being helped by CMN themselves

Meantime, we thought you might like to hear the stories of some of those families. One of them is Serenity, a 5-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who's being cared for by her grandparents, Donna and Mike Hatton. In the video above, the Hattons talk with KIT's Dave Ettl about what they've been through and what they hope the future holds for Serenity.

We're hoping Serenity's story persuades you to chip in and do what you can to help out with this year's CMN drive. You can donate by calling in during the Radiothon -- or you can do it online by clicking this link. You can also do it by texting 51555 and typing "KIT Cares."
