Monday in the Yakima Valley was marked by ceremonies and the placing of flowers on graves for many families during Memorial Day 2019. About 1 hundred people attended the Yakima VFW Post 379 ceremony at Tahoma Cemetery where representatives from each branch of the military placed wreaths on a memorial honoring fallen soldiers. The VFW rifle team helped end the ceremony along with the playing of taps.

Other ceremonies were held throughout the Yakima valley and cemeteries were also busy this Memorial Day 2019.

Camping sights were also...busy...now with the first camping weekend of the year over. Fire officials are just asking everyone to be careful with anything that could start a fire and begin what expected to be a long hot season.
