A student at Central Washington University student has tested negative for the coronavirus.
Officials with the Kittitas County Public Health Department notified the student Friday that it received negative test results.
A news release says there are currently no other cases of coronavirus suspected among students or staff at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
Health officials say if members of the University community who have traveled to affected areas develop fever and respiratory symptoms, the University will continue to work closely with the public health department to ensure rapid testing and precautions to isolate any potential cases of coronavirus.
"University officials continue to recommend that everyone follow the guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory viruses, especially during cold and flu season."
