According to their recent press release, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. five dine-in guests will win coupon books containing a free combo meal a week for a year each hour.

The location for the new Carl’s Jr. is 2208 S. First Street in Yakima.

The official press release:

YAKIMA, Wash. – Aug. 27, 2012 – A day of celebration will mark the Aug. 28 grand opening of a new Carl’s Jr. in Yakima – and it will be especially grand for 60 guests that day.

“Free food for a year will go to 60 lucky winners, who will be chosen randomly throughout the day,” said franchisee Paul Jones, of QSC Beef 2, LLC.

The new Yakima restaurant is at 2208 S. First St.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on opening day, five dine-in guests per hour will be picked at random to win coupon books containing one combo meal free every week for a year. “There also will be other fun giveaways,” Jones said, including T-shirts and additional Carl’s Jr. branded items.

It will be a time of celebration for its franchise owner, as well. Born and raised in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island in Washington’s Puget Sound, franchisee Jones in March opened his first Carl’s Jr. restaurant, in Ellensburg, Wash., where he spent the summers of his youth vacationing with his family. The Yakima restaurant will be his second in the state.

“Washington is my home, and I am elated to be doing what I do in a place so close to my heart,” said Jones, now a 34-year-old married father of five, including one born on Aug. 7. “My wife and I have had a life goal for the past 15 years to live and work in this place we love, and by the grace of God here we are.”

A seasoned fast-food restaurant manager, Jones is embracing his new role as a restaurant owner.

“This is a true celebration for us,” Jones said. “We hope everyone can come by on Tuesday to welcome us to our new place, have breakfast, lunch, dinner … and, for 60 lucky winners, let us buy them a meal off our menu every week for a year.”

Dual-branded to also offer a Green Burrito menu of Mexican food favorites, the newly built, retro-style restaurant will feature fresh, new products and tried-and-tested ideas, combining the classic feel of a diner with the quality service that customers have come to expect from Carl’s Jr. over the years.

Amenities will include free WiFi and convenient drive-thru service. Hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the drive thru will be open 24 hours.

The menu features Carl’s Jr. signature charbroiled hamburgers and chicken sandwiches, including The Six Dollar Burger™, made with 100 percent Black Angus beef, The Low Carb Six Dollar Burger™, which contains only six grams of carbohydrates, and the Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich™ – a cult classic in the making. Also available will be a line of Turkey Burgers and the newest offering, the Southwest Patty Melt.

Morning visitors will be treated to the unique lunch-for-breakfast menu item, the Breakfast Burger™, and the Made From Scratch Biscuit line featuring the Sausage, Egg & Cheese biscuit and the Monster Biscuit ®, among others.

“We invite our new friends in Yakima to come on in, introduce yourselves and try one of our unique variety of big premium burgers,” Jones said, “and also make Carl’s Jr.’s delicious breakfast menu a part of your morning routine.”
