Big Fire Growing Near Ellensburg

KITTITAS FIRE UPDATE: Kittitas Fire Chief says the fire has doubled to 1,000 acres. Winds around 40 mph are spreading the fire that started as structure fire. There is a level 1 evacuation for the Secret Canyon and Park Creek area. So, people in that area should be ready to leave.

Our news partner KIMA Action News reports the fire is burning just 15 miles east of Ellensburg in the Park Creek drainage 1 mile west of the Wild Horse Wind Farm.
