The good folks at Fox News have a bit of barroom advice based on 10,000 U.S.-based bartenders who were asked to rank all major spirit brands by how likely they are to recommend them to customers.

The survey sez: If you head up to a bar with no idea what to order, most mixologists are likely to recommend you take a shot of Jack Daniel's.

The MetrixLab MSS US Bartender Influencer Study asked bartenders to rank all major spirit brands by how likely they are to recommend them to customers. The data shows bartenders ranked Bombay Sapphire as their most recommended gin and chose Bicardi for rum, Patron for Tequila and Grey Goose for vodka.

Jack Daniel's won the category of most-recommended shot, which makes sense as Esquire reports the brand is the most well-known and best-selling whiskey brand in the country.

Summer celebrations to come? Now you know "Jack".  But watchout, you don't want to know Jack like the guy Country Superstar Luke Bryan sings about in "You Don't Know Jack".
