IT'S COLD AND THAT'S IMPACTING GAS PRICES

According to GasBuddy's analysis, the recent price increase is largely attributed to rising oil prices, which have been fueled by cold weather and increased heating oil demand. Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted, "It was only a matter of time before the national average began to rise," and cautioned that potential executive orders from President Trump's inauguration could have further impacts on gas prices.

MORE PRICE INCREASES ON THE WAY?

While the current price increase has not yet followed the traditional seasonal trend, industry experts predict that the upcoming seasonal rise could push prices higher, potentially beginning in the next few weeks.
