Apps to Show Customized Weather and Soil Data; Partnership Between Ports of Seattle and Tacoma Formed

Iteris, Inc. , a leader in providing information solutions to the transportation and agriculture markets, has entered into an agreement to provide custom weather and soil data to localize growth and disease models for growers via Iteris' precision farming data delivery platform, ClearAg™. Users will gain access to high-resolution weather and soil data for decision support on planning fungicide applications to on-farm research through the ClearAg App. ClearAg App will allow growers to have comprehensive access to weather, water, soil, and crop growth information.

The consolidation of the ports of Seattle and Tacoma became official Tuesday morning. The Seaport Alliance will consist of 10 commissioners, five from King County and five from Pierce County in Washington State. 50% of the products exported through the Port of Seattle is agriculture.
Former Port of Seattle Commissioner Bill Bryant says it was a massive effort taking six years of building coalitions, accommodating different positions and finding a proposal that all 10 commissioners could get behind.
