Another Fall In Gas Prices But Still Higher Than This Time Last Year
Even though it's higher than it was last year at this time gas prices are still under $3 a gallon. Average retail gasoline prices in Yakima have fallen 1 cent per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.85/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 91 gas outlets in Yakima. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.33/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Yakima during the past week, prices yesterday were 40.6 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are unchanged versus a month ago. The national average has decreased 8.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 10.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on May 15 in Yakima have ranged widely over the last five years:
$2.45/g in 2016, $2.82/g in 2015, $3.84/g in 2014, $3.79/g in 2013 and $4.13/g in 2012.
