As Allied Arts celebrates 50 years serving central Washington, the organization will open its doors to the public on Thursday.

The historic Allied Arts Center in Gilbert Park will open its doors from 5 to 7 p.m.  People can meet some of the teaching artists, participate in some free art, view the gallery, talk with the board of directors, and attend the membership meeting.

Executive Director Michael Liddicoat says there will be Artsvan activities, and cake will be served.
