Are you concerned about your freedoms being impacted by local and state government? A Yakima County Freedom Rally is set for Saturday at Yakima's Chesterly Park at 40th Avenue and River Road.

THE SATURDAY RALLY WILL BE HELD AT CHESTERLY PARK

The rally is set for 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Organizers say the rally is for everyone who supports parent choice when it comes to kids and masks in school. It's for those who are against mandated vaccinations and vaccine passports. They say if you've been vaccinated but support those who choose not to get the shot you are welcome. Everyone is encouraged to bring flags and signs.
The Saturday rally from 2:00PM to 5:00PM will be held at Chesterly Park in Yakima.

WHEN PEOPLE IN YAKIMA DISAGREE THEY RALLY

Rallies and protests aren't unfamiliar to Yakima. One of the state's first Tea Party rallies was held in Yakima in front of the Capital Theater. Other rallies and protests have been held to give a voice to people on everything from COVID-19 to rallies supporting Donald Trump. Rallies have been held in Yakima County over the last year that have centered on the emergency powers of the governor and COVID-19 restrictions. Now with new restrictions being considered on both the state and local levels people in Yakima want to speak out. Many parents in Yakima are concerned about kids and masking policies when school starts later this month and next. Parents who are against mandated masking policies in school or mandated vaccines are encouraged to attend the rally on Saturday in Yakima.
