At some point we'll move past the medical side of the Coronavirus and we'll turn our attention to dealing with life in a damaged and recovering economy.  Are we ready for a recession?

Part of our radio show preparation is a daily review of an email called The Hustle which looks at trends and activities in business all around the world.

A recent article in The Hustle newsletter is about a relatively new podcast called My First Million, hosted by podcaster Shaan Puri .  The episode referenced is called the Four Skill Sets that are most important in these uncertain times:

We don't have much in the way of background or credibility checks on Mr. Puri so reader beware but his choice for essential skills is interesting to consider.

  1. Controlling your emotions. This is #1 for a reason -- learning to control and (maybe more importantly) understand your emotions is imperative.
  2. Copywriting. It’s crucial. You need to be able to convince folks to buy your product or service.
  3. Starting vs. managing a business. There’s a big difference between these two things. Understanding that difference? Well, that makes a huge difference.
  4. Persuasion. There’s a reason How to Win Friends and Influence People is an all-time best-seller. It’s important in business and in life.

You can find My First Million on the podcast dealer of your choice (Spotify and Apple).
