Sunnyside Police Investigate Drive-By Homicide
A homicde investigation is underway in the lower Yakima Valley.
Sunnyside Police say a 27-year-old man is dead after a drive-by shooting reported on Sunday afternoon. Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says officers were called to the 1200 block of Roosevelt Court in Sunnyside at about 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
No suspects were arrested as police continue the investigation. The 27-year-old man died at a Sunnyside hospital.
Sunnyside detectives were busy already working on another drive-by shooting reported in early January. Police have made an arrest in the shooting of 26-year-old Angel Faz. He was killed in a shooting in the 2300 block of Yakima Valley Highway near Sunnyside on January 7. The suspect is being held in the Yakima County jail.
No arrests were made in the shooting on Sunday.
