This one will be hard to swallow by about half the country -- According to the latest Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance.  I'll repeat. Trumps approval rate is at 50%.  By the same token 49% of those polled disapprove.

While millions wait for definitive proof of Russian collusion and the end of President Trump, millions of other Americans see a vastly improved economy, growing consumer confidence, low unemployment and a stronger stand in the world and they like what they see.  The gold standard for the left is two-term Barrack Obama but Rasmussen says with an Approval Index rating of -6,  "Trumps overall job approval is now running ahead of where president Obama's was at this same stage of his presidency."

Rasmussen's poll also found that most GOP voters want their party to follow Trump's lead, NOT Senate Republicans.  Here's a pretty good reason why that might be--just 15% of likely voters think Congress -including the Senate- is doing a good or excellent job. Sadly, no surprise there.

Perhaps the most topical question asked was about including the question of citizenship on the 2020 census.  The Trump administration suggested getting an accurate count of citizens to help insure fair future elections while Democrats, liberal activists and the mainstream media are outraged at the idea.  Where are you at on this?  Where are your fellow Americans on the ideas of a citizenship question? Rasmussen found two-out-of-three American (66%) agree that the Census should ask respondents if they are citizens of the United States.

If the Rasmussen poll is correct, there are a lot of people in government, on radio, TV and in the papers who are way out of step with the thinking of the American people.
