Move over Alexander Hamilton, it's Ladies Night!  So who’s it going to be? Will it be Susan B. Anthony or Harriet Tubman?  What about Eleanor Roosevelt or Rosa Parks or perhaps another important woman from American history?Which woman will be featured on the new 2020 $10 bill?  The Washington Post reports the woman selected will be the first female in well over a century to grace the face of United States’ paper money.

The last time was in the late 1800s, when Martha Washington appeared on the silver certificate.

Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea made a brief appearances on the $1 coin before a lack public acceptance forced the U.S. Mint to stop making them.

The redesigned bill will be unveiled in 2020 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of  women’s right to vote.  The Treasury Department is looking for our input by way of suggestions through town halls social media by asking to go to the website thenew10.treasury.gov and on Twitter using the hashtag #TheNew10.

The only requirements for candidacy are that the woman be deceased and embody the theme of the bill’s new look: “Democracy.” (Washington Post)

One thing I do know for sure, when a woman's face is finally on the ten, the woman with my favorite face (Sara) will be more than happy to spend it!
