PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 94 years in prison for a fatal Pasco shooting in 2014 that was tied to a string of gang-related shootings in the area.

The Tri-City Herald reports 20-year-old DeShawn Anderson, of Finley, was sentenced Monday after being convicted of murder, assault and weapons charges.

Prosecutors say Anderson was one of two men who ambushed a car in November 2014, seriously wounding three men inside. He's also accused of firing shots on Dec. 3 that killed 22-year-old Lorenzo Fernandez, who reportedly was an associate of the victims in the November shooting.

Prosecutors say Anderson targeted Fernandez because the victim was associated with a gang believed to have killed Anderson's friend, 20-year-old Anthony Guerrero.

Anderson maintained his innocent Monday and plans to appeal his convictions.
