2 Men Arrested in Death of Pasco Farmworker
TRI-CITIES (AP) — Authorities say two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Pasco farmworker.
The Tri-City Herald reports that 34-year-old Simeon Howard, of Richland, and 26-year-old Nathaniel Thompson, of Kennewick, were arrested without incident Thursday. They face charges of first-degree murder.
Police are still investigating last week's death of 27-year-old Thomas Contreras De Leon, who was shot in Pasco on Dec. 30.
Authorities say he was taken to a hospital by a person driving a dark-colored SUV and died the same day.
The Franklin County Coroner's Office determined De Leon died from a gunshot wound that damaged his heart and right lung.
Details about how the two suspects have been tied to the crime have not yet been released.
